Clearing TS4 Cache Using a .BAT File

In this guide I am going to walk you through how to create a .bat file to delete your The Sims 4 game cache quickly and easily!.

1. Open up "Notepad" or "Notepad ++".
2. Next copy the following into your new document.

3. Change "[USERNAME]" to your Windows username.
4. [*Optional] If your games documents folder is not on the "C:" drive, you will need to change this.
5. Go to "File" > "Save As" then name it something like "ClearCache.bat" then change the "Save as File Type" to "All Files" (*See image)

[*NOTE: make sure to add the .bat to the end of the file name]

6. All done! Save it somewhere where you can use it each time you launch your game.

  1. Very Informative and easy peasy. Before we play S4 though how do we run it? Run as administrator?

    1. Just run it like you always do. :) From Origin, as admin, or w/e. Just your typical launch method.
